The ARTECOM – Art, Technology and Community project was born from the synergy between prestigious academic institutions, research bodies and organizations specialized in technological, artistic and cultural development. The partnership, based on an interdisciplinary approach, integrates skills in areas ranging from human and social sciences to engineering, from digital communication to performing arts, with the aim of promoting the inclusive and interactive use of cultural heritage through innovative multimedia installations.
The ARTECOM partnership is configured as a virtuous example of collaboration between universities, research bodies and cultural institutions, aimed at creating an innovative ecosystem for the production and valorisation of artistic heritage.
Implementing entities
The University of L’Aquila, the project’s lead body, coordinates the technological research and development activities, taking advantage of its experience in the field of artificial intelligence, telecommunications and the design of immersive digital environments.
The university is committed to defining the technical aspects of the installations, ensuring the integration of advanced digital interaction tools that promote a participatory and accessible experience.
The University of Teramo contributes with its expertise in communication sciences and socio-cultural disciplines, providing essential support in the planning of community involvement strategies and in the analysis of the social impact of installations.
His contribution focuses on the educational dimension and on the enhancement of the dialogue between art, technology and territory, with particular attention to the processes of inclusion and active participation.
The Alfredo Casella Conservatory of L’Aquila brings the artistic-musical dimension to the project, dealing with the creation of immersive sound environments and the experimentation of new expressive languages.
Through collaboration with musicians, composers and performers, the conservatory promotes the integration between music and technology, developing multimedia content that enriches the installations and offers participants new ways of interacting with sound and urban space.

L’Università degli Studi di Teramo contribuisce con la sua expertise nelle scienze della comunicazione e nelle discipline socio-culturali, fornendo un supporto essenziale nella progettazione delle strategie di coinvolgimento della comunità e nell’analisi dell’impatto sociale delle installazioni. Il suo contributo si focalizza sulla dimensione educativa e sulla valorizzazione del dialogo tra arte, tecnologia e territorio, con un’attenzione particolare ai processi di inclusione e partecipazione attiva.
Il Conservatorio Alfredo Casella dell’Aquila porta nel progetto la dimensione artistico-musicale, occupandosi della creazione di ambienti sonori immersivi e della sperimentazione di nuovi linguaggi espressivi. Attraverso la collaborazione con musicisti, compositori e performer, il conservatorio favorisce l’integrazione tra musica e tecnologia, sviluppando contenuti multimediali che arricchiscono le installazioni e offrono ai partecipanti nuove modalità di interazione con il suono e lo spazio urbano.
